AIMTo provide basic knowledge on the NATO Medical CD&E process to SMEs who will assist with the design, planning and conduct of medical support experiments, to include the intended training audience. This course does not take the place of the advanced NATO CD&E Course conducted by the NATO School Oberammergau.
TRAINING AUDIENCE
All NATO and partners military medical personnel interested or involved in CD&E activities, especially those who plan to support, facilitate or participate in medical support experiments during exercises and/or as stand-alone events. Exercise Planners who are engaged with National and Multinational exercises are also welcome in the course.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
LO1: to become familiar with the NATO CD&E
LO2: to get the knowledge on design, planning, execution, analysis and evaluation of medical support experiments
LO3: to understand different roles and responsibilities in an experiment team
LO4: to become familiar with documentation connected to experimentation
LO5: to become familiar with the NATO Collective Training planning process

PREREQUISITE

Certificate of successful completion of ADL 201 Introduction to Concept Development & Experimentation

METHODOLOGY

As the 1st step - prior to class lessons - students have to pass the 100 level ADL 201 Introduction to Concept Development & Experimentation online course in order to get basic orientation in Concept Development & Experimentation and get ready to focuse on Medical Support Experiments.
Class lessons are arranged in two sections.
1. Online self-paced lessons available on JADL are required to complete before the VTC of each of 2 day’s synchronous sessions.
2. VTCs (synchronous part), where Subject Matter Experts will guide scenario based discussions in which students have the opportunity to discuss the lessons of the day and to ask questions.

ATTENDANCEBoth days attendance is required to obtain the certificate.
REGISTRATIONRegistration for the course is specified in the Invitation/Announcement letter distributed before the course and registration for JADL is necessary.
